Oh I like this!
Whaz is the dome? Emerging spaceship? Powergenerator?

It´s supposed to be a "mobile version" of the Robot Regent of Arkon. A bit small, and I am thinking of doing a bigger version (20cm base diameter) with a fixed integral light source, better and cleaner lining and painting, more bits and pipes and mounted on a flying base, or a fixed-emplacement variant that could be really big.

Hmm, tasty idea! A glowing ball on a flying base would be very fitting!
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Greetings

HAH Gucky!!!
Now you need to make Bully  (and I don't mean Michael Herbig here *g*)
Lets see, a bit potbellied, lightly freckled and ..yep red hair, that's Reginald Bull for you.

Sorry just found this thread today and -yes- me like the PR Universe much too. I even got my wife hooked on the series. I guess I'll have to show you a picture of our PR Silverbook ground-to-ceiling Bookcase ;-) Chris, you've outdone yourself once again. Top job.

I have to say that I revised my very, very critical "leftist literary critic" stance from two years ago. I still think that PR displays a whole bunch of questionable ideology, especially in the earlier cycles, but apart from that, it´s often a rather fun read.

My local library has a bunch of the "Silberband" collections, sadly incomplete, although I read all of the Swarm cycle and the subsequent "Cosmic Game of Chess" story arc (which both get very, very tedious and repetitive, IMHO, and I probably won´t read the Laric Invasion and later books), most of the Cappins and M87 stuff, and most of the Solar Empire books. I´d desperately like to read the Andromeda/"Masters of the Isle" cycle, but those are sadly completely amiss here. :(

A shame since I like that whole Lemuria story arc/background fluff best, next to the early setting with the struggling Solar Empire (DESPITE the ideology, but they´ve mellowed it down to a rather agreable flair in the Silverbooks).

100% sculpted putty on a 0,7mm silver wire armature, no model parts used. In hindsight, I would have better used a skaven head or something similar to get a better result, but it´s ok after all.

I´m rather ashamed myself. lol Seriously, while I like the overall outcome, after finishing the piece, I immediately spotted a whole bunch of things I could (or rather should) have done better. Size and proportion are okay, if a bit on the big side, but I just can´t get the hang of getting really smooth surfaces and fine detail.

First prototype of the RK-1 combat robot:

If I can find the time, I´ll build two more tonight. Made from wire, plastic pearls and some plastic tube and rod.

Here´s a squad of the RK-1-type combat robots, armed with desintegrator/paralysator combi-rayguns in the left arm and a rocket launcher in the torso.

And a "work in progress" shot to show the materials used in their construction:

A new Shift flying tank to transport a squad or so:

Made from plasticard, tracks and wheels from a 1/72nd scale Abrams kit (Italeri ex Esci), plus a 30mm plastic base and a Tau tank hatch.
