Van-Helsings Pirate Miniatures Thread
« on: 11 June 2012, 11:34:26 PM »
Even though Freebooters Fate is my FAVOURITE Piratey Game ever - I do play/collect other games & ranges.

So I'll start with a couple of Black Scorpion Miniatures -

Another (converted) Black Scorpion Pirate -

Ron & Bones Mary Gold -

Some Freebooter Pirates now -

Loads to do (as always) LoL!

Looking good!  Not much of a pirate guy, but you can't help but admire the attention to detail.  I'm always in wonder at folks that can do stripes!  8)

No offense to the Sculptors (as Gothic Horror/Victoriana is a particular favourite of mine) etc, but theres not as much scope with those type of Miniatures as there is with Pirates (or Superheroes for that matter) - stronger lines and bolder colours are the norm. Whereas with Victorian Gentlemen (unless they are wearing their Smoking Jackets) the colours are more muted and subtle.

Upon saying that - I'm looking forward to painting some Vampires and such like as I can "let rip" a little!

Need to finish my FF Pirate Crew, and some more Cutlass (I'm sick of painted with unpainted miniatures LoL)
