Great looking terrain and the cellophane idea has me intrigued  :)

One question: How do you glue down the cellophane? What type of glue? Do you just glue around the edges?

Its a pity you're in NZ. Us VSF Aussies in Melbourne would love to have a mass battle with your stuff plus all our stuff.

Let us know if you're ever coming to Melbourne

Cheers

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Hi Fuzzy.

The cellophane is glued down with PVA - just along the edges. The piece I glued down is larger than the visible river area, so the glued edge becomes invisible with the land pieces glued on top. I then 'blend' the join with gap filler, sand, paint and static grass.

I'd love to play a game or two if I'm ever in Melbourne. Likewise, let me know if you're ever in the Wellington / Kapiti region.

Hi Marcusluis

I bought the cellophane in a $2 Shop - similar to Poundstretcher / Poundland in the UK. You can also get it in stationery stores. Buy it in rolls rather than packets if you can - very hard to get creases out!
