@robh: That metallic paint isn't ink, it's a basecoat of Partha aged metal with IWM/Partha silver metallic. I paint the aged metal carefully to preserve the black lines in the crevices.

OK, not seen a metallic paint that polished before. Only chrome paint or silver printers ink. Nice effect.

If you haven't already then have a crack at spiral painted lances. They are not so difficult to do and look very authentic
