Gentlemen, start your wallets!
« on: 07 July 2012, 08:40:19 AM »
Since this appears to be the forum for all things slashed and puffy, I figured it would be a good place to make folks aware that the 1650 game has an Indiegogo run for the next 50 or so days.

I know they've featured in a few threads in here but for those who missed it, the game is set during an alt-history of Spain's Golden Age and is a true skirmish system.

The main site is here http://terciocreativo.blogspot.com/ and the indiegogo page is here http://www3.indiegogo.com/1650rulebookandmore?a=827212 (with pictures of a few of their figures).

They are trying to raise money to print the book - so it's a good chance to get some delightfully stylish minis while supporting a startup company. I'm a big fan of these startup fundraiser sites being used this way, rather than acting as pre-order tools for bigger companies.

I think the rules are rather nifty and you can still download a draft version here I think http://foro.terciocreativo.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12&p=17#p17

All in all, I'd suggest anyone into buckling and swashing take a look.

My only issue is that I don't know anyone in my neck of the woods who shares an appreciation for this period. They're too busy with their space marines and warmachines to engage in gaming with flair and panache...

Thanks ;]

Some people did ask how would be the miniatures you get in option G, painted by Emuse. Well, this is the band of one of the members of our staff, painted by him:

And this is another one's:

As you can see, level is REALLY similar to the card ones.

Oh, and here you are a pair of miniatures in progress, sculpted by Julen Galparsoro:

Here you are another green, in progress: Perturbado, of the Guard of Ysbiia. One of the last 2 miniatures of the band ;]

And we're over the 7000$ at this point.  :o

Those painted warbands are incredible, first class sculpts and the absolute finest paintwork.
Staggering.

What is the scale of these figs?  Will they work with 28mm figs or Black Scorpions pirates?
Thanks!

Thanks,

RicharDMB, I'm not sure. Ours are 35 mm. heigh till the end of the head, but it depends if Black Scorpion ones are "fatty" enough to be close to our.

WE DID IT. And as final goal, if we get $10000 in this last days of the campaign, apart from getting all of this, for FREE:

- Extramuros 05
- Vecino
- Gentilhombre
- Volatinero
- Bust of the Guard

All the backers who help us to get there, and choose perks D, E, F or G, will also receive an EXCLUSIVE Mercenary Personality: Rodrigo of Silva, court painter of the old king.
