Couple of boring questions for you:

Is the baseboard 6mm MDF or thicker?
Do you get much warping or is it braced in some way?
What glue are you using for the plasticard, and do you get any reaction when gluing plasticard onto plasticard?

Not at all: after all, they found a UFO while building an underground station in the film version of Quatermass and the Pit.
