I know these figures are not to everyone's taste, whether you like the concept or not these figures are some og the most beautifully sculpted and perfect casts, I have quite a lot and I have not seen one bubble of miscast.
I really like them and have a bunch to paint. I started with this one as I wanted to practice my whites prior to painting the White Speaker miniature which is next on list. I am quite pleased with the result, I am in two minds as the whether I should blend the bodice area a little more?
Need to get tripod down from the loft so can get clearer pictures.

Few chosen victims survive the treatment of raw god metal that prepares a womb to withstand and nurture the ghastly cocktail that gives rise to the monsters of the Holy Lands. The truly holy mothers are beatified as Grand Mothers, transformed into creatures embodying the maternal life-giving ideal of the Entity. These special few give birth to the Entity's most precious children, the massive winged Blessed Ones. The Grand Mother's womb is braced heavy ornate gut plates. Within, a hostile furnace of creation churns. She has a mouthed cord growing from her belly that devours male organs of her mates to better the chances of divine conception.

That is an incredibly challenging figure to paint, I would have thought the Speaker would be better practice for this one, although the speaker is almost all blending flesh tones.
I think the wings look a bit "flat", monotone, but that may be the picture. Overall she looks really good and makes a great showpiece. Well done.

I like their pieces a lot (with 2 or 3 notable exceptions), they have taken the Rackham mantle and added a definite horrific/unsettling edge.  If I were still able to paint display figures I would have a standing new release order for this range.

I felt happier practising on large areas. The wings were purposefully painted to keep the shading subtle.

The last photo looks the best.
It really brings out the different whites on the wings.
Would like to see more photos that are more from the side.

Outstanding figures, if sometimes in a rather 'casual' pose; my main concern is they unconventional scale / size, incompatible with almost all 'gaming' ranges.

Agreed. I don't like too many of their figures (they're really unique, so they don't integrate well with other lines, and they're usually too "anime"), but there were one or two I'd have bought if the scale was right (oh that flower knight!).

Her 'peripherals' removed, the 'Wet Nurse' would make a *great* "28mm" Lovecraftian monstrosity. In 'The shunned house' the living corpse of a sorcerer buried under the house kept growing -'proliferating', rather- for centuries, feeding from the 'life force' of the inhabitant. Now, if the living corpse of a witch, having kept some mobility in an underground complex...

Did you take a look at the Kingdom Death Kickstarter? .. it went very very well I think. I will have over 100 mini's headed my way at the end of the year.

Thats why I cancelled my pledge. Love the game and think that Poots has done a fantastic job, but theres other things I want more at this particular moment.
