Very nice terrain and modular. I tend to overthink terrain and then I went and picked up the GW Terrain Book from circa 2008 for $2 at a con and saw some nice, simple solutions like toweling. Unfortunately this lead me to more thinking. I made up a 4 x 4' gaming mat made out of felt with foam applied with spray matte medium and it works great but was a little awkward to negotiate in our d&d game where, after character sheets and drinks are accounted for we don't have 4' across. Am now thinking about smaller pieces of felt with pieces of other materials (here's where towels may come in) to cover the edges where two felt mats meet. Anyway, what you have there looks great and an ideal size for an rpg encounter.

BTW who makes those walls? I foolishly made 5 6" lengths out of real stones which look great but not worth the effort. Am looking around for some.

Nice work - love the towel idea but I think you're wheat fields turned out really nice too. Must try that one day.

The beastmen are excellent too - good mix!

@ Spooktalker - Sorry I'm not sure who makes the walls I got them in an ebay lot that didn't say.

Also if anyone's interested I've posted up a tutorial on my blog on how to create the ruins:

The Dwarf wizard is a brilliant mini - nice painting too.

The beasties are looking rather intimidating now!

Although they make me wonder where all the years have gone, the Old Minis look WONDERFULLY WELL DONE. Unlike moi they've gotten better looking with age...at least the way you've done them up.

Finished up some more terrain and the weird Giant that no one can identify:

I think he needs some wode type warpaint but I'm undecided for now.

Again more scrap polystyrene covered in polyfilla this time mounted on an old 12" so it's fairly large

Here's a a couple of arty close-ups:

And here's all the terrain together:

As always there's more photo's up on the old Blog along with a caption competition:

GREAT LOOKING STUFF! The artsy closeups show off the terrain piece WONDERFULLY; the minis, of course, are equally TERRIFIC...I like your painting style. VERY WELL DONE!

I've not been hugely productive lately but I did manage to finish the Dr Willetts Workshop house that I bought after seeing the review here on LAF
http://www.drwillettsworkshop.co.uk/the-nook.html

Awesome little model that was really easy to paint.

I also finished off a ton of baggage and barricades from various different manufactures including Ainsty:

Only a couple of mini's recently:

Let me know what you think, cheers

That's quite a lot of finished stuff for not being productive...a two day Mushroom is my idea of a paucity of productivity. Everything, particularly the House, is STRIKINGLY WELL DONE! I love the purple flowers,
