Artizan/Copplestone joint venture

OK, first of all it is very good news.
Let's think a bit. Copplestone's ranges mainly fall within the 20th century.
Artizan's ranges mostly the same. We also have the second clue: No Osprey book. So, I have some thoughts.
a.- There is no Osprey book on Balkan wars 1912-1913. Will it be a new range on this era? [Up to this moment Tiger Miniatures has Greeks, Bulgarians and Turks. Will it be a rival range?]
b.- South american wars like Chaco war: There is not a coverage on Ospreys as far as I know, too.
c.- Rif wars or other Saharan conflicts: Again out of coverage.
d.- Some new ancients range? Can you think of something?
e.- Is Vichy french covered by Osprey?
f.- Greek war of Independence 1821-1827. Another area not covered by the Osprey. I suspect some other conflicts like Schleswig-Holstein Dano-Prussian war, War of 1866, Italian Risorgimento are not covered as well.
Any other suggestions?

Well, my suggestion was 'Darkest India'.
Or more swashbucklers - but that's just me being hopeful

I actually think, given that there's an Osprey on just about EVERYTHING, that it may be something off the wall (ie. civilians of some variety) or sci-fi / fantasy orientated. Owen Thrilling Tales meets Copplestone Future Wars? Victorian Sci-fi? Something outlandish I fancy, rather than some ultra-obscure Balkan or South American small war...

I go for a WW1-related theme, so Balkan Wars or Rif Wars might be a good guess.

Mr Copplestones message says it is NOT an obscure period which discounts a few of those guesses and the fact it is a period would lead me to think it is not sci-fi/fantasy based either.

a lesser WW1 theatre is a good bet (I hope) as the forthcoming book from GW will spark interest and these guys are looking to sell what they make.

I think you could be right but wouldnt lesser WW1 theatres not be obscure I mean there are dfamous incidents with Gallipoli and T E Lawrence but hardly mainstream

I know two miniature designers who are rolling on the floor laughing since advertising their joint venture when they are reading all the wild speculations on the web.

Of course with Copplestone, you'll never know. For years I answered every query which army I wanted to see next for this or that game with 'tibetan yak drivers', and then he did exactly the one range I never expected to see in miniature...

Poliorketes:
You are in my mind. I had also the same vision

Back in my proposition on the poll:
It will be interesting to see if anyone of us can guess the outcome. I would suggest to have a limited time say: opinios, ideas, guesses or even suggestions to come till 31.03.2008. A whole month for that.

Maybe they'll go for the 1914 Togo or Kamerun campaign, cause I desperately wait for good Polizeitruppe minis :
