Doctor Who 2011 - Update 21 Sept - Impossible Astronaut

Yes, 2011; a bit behind the times.  The helmic regulator's still on the blink ...

So, as usual, let's start with the regulars.

"A boy and his box, off to see the Universe".

"The Legs, the Nose and Mrs Robinson".

Cracking stuff.  :)

Is Rory a conversion?

Great paint job! Where did you get River, or is it a conversion?

Thanks, chaps.

The Doctor (Heresy's Nerdlord II) and the TARDIS (Sci-fi Collector's Centre die-cast, with some repainting) both appeared in my Doctor Who 2010 project thread.

Amy is Heresy's Emily Lake, with an added plaid shirt.  Her outfit is from "The Doctor's Wife".

Rory is, as AEG points out, Crooked Dice's Mr William Killan.  I was keen to paint one up without conversion, which pretty much dictated the colour scheme, as for most of the year Rory wore proper jackets with sleeves.  The body warmer did make a last hurrah in "The Doctor's Wife", though, along with that mustard-coloured shirt.

River is converted from the not-Mrs Peel in Artizan's Kiss-Kiss Bang Bang range.  I replaced the hair, added a jacket, blouse and gunbelt and made some changes to the trousers.  I now see from the photo that I painted the buttons rather sloppily, so I'll go and correct that now!

Are you referring to the pedantic view that they are on the wrong side for a woman's jacket?

No - I'm replicating what was worn on screen, not fashion convention (if you wish to complain to Dr Song about her choices, feel free and I hope you have a nice funeral).  But I splashed some bronze paint on the denim area next to one of the buttons.  Now retouched with dark blue.

Absolutely brilliant stuff, Steve.
Your attention to detail still amazes me, no matter how many times I see your work.
 :o

Love them all, and the work on the bases is inspired.

One question: Where are Stan and Ollie and the little girl from, not seen them before? I could use them...
