Kettle Creek - 1779
« on: September 18, 2012, 01:07:03 PM »
Managed to get in a great Sharp Practice game over the weekend.  Scenario was the Battle of Kettle Creek Georgia - February 17, 1779.  Probably since I was playing a rebel, things did not match history and the Loyalists held on after lots of heavy fighting.

The game was great fun and the terrain was fantastic.  Thanks to Mark for hosting another great game.  Lots of interesting things happening.  One Loyalist unit had the danger magnet as they ran out of ammo, started a forest fire and launched a cattle stampede.  Yet surprisingly survived the scenario largely intact.

My battle report is here:

Thanks.  The game was great fun.  Mark does some great terrain.  And it was very effective in slowing down the advance of the rebels.  The Rebel reinforcements were far to slow in arriving.  The shock taken by the rebel troops slowed the advance to force our withdrawl.  Even though I lost, I had a great time.

Mark posted a tutorial of how he does terrain on his flicker account.  It is well done.
