Neo-Sov AT-43 bots, probably still available somewhere on ebay.

Cool looking stuff though!  :D

A couple of shots of the Nova Fed infantry force including a 5 man bodyguard for a VIP for the salute game made up of Akky's troopers:

Better shots to come in due course - I plan to do individual unit shots with some individual model details as well.

All things go here.

The latest bit of terrain to get up to the, "I'll add grass tufts if I can be bothered!" stage:

Detail of the doors:

These are to form the post that the VIP and motorcade are on their way to. It won't be set up like this on the table but wont be far off it.

Hesco (various types, singles and long straights) from Slug Industries as well as the wooden planking which I believe was originally intended for use in things like trenches etc. I built the gates from scratch myself.

Nice looking compound.

What are the square walls? How did you make them? They look like efficient 'modern' sandbags.

Cheers

They are from Slug Industries: http://slugindustries.wordpress.com/

Very reasonably priced too. The walkways are also from there. The HESCO comes in various combinations, long straights, corners, columns and also as fortifications. I really like them and found them relatively straightforward to paint. I have also made a small position with some but that is not quite done yet.

It was a good looking and playable game, my grandson Cpt. Stinky insisting on having three games on it.

He was great, he was actually the General of the resistance fighters in the first game too.  :D

Wow, been a long time since I revisited this thread. A strong project never dies! :)

Belated thanks for your praise Hubba - it means a lot coming from the chap who formed the original inspiration and motivation for this project, although no where near as good as yours, in my humble opinion.

After moving house, I went through a lot of stuff I had accumulated and decided to make something with it or chuck it. That as well as taking part in a community-build-a-long project on randomplatypus.com I rustled this little bunch of junk together.

And set about dry fitting to see if I could come up with something sci fi looking as a piece of terrain.

Having found a configuration / shape I liked I started working on it to make it look more of a functioning piece of tech.

How it stands at this point in time:

The gray resin pieces are from slug industries - 6milphil on here. The sci fi accessories pieces, very very nice detailing kit which will add to any mdf terrain you might want to detail up or your own creations like this. That little bit of detail which helps convince the eye it's not just a box, or a bit of junk.
