My Mythic Greece project- First game (page 9)
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:43:14 AM »
Designed to provide a pool of figures for Agon, a competitive rpg and later for tabletop skirmishes. All figures so far are from Bronze Age Miniatures. http://www.bronzeagemin.com/

This first batch were pressed into service as Argonauts for the LPL:

I also made a Talos from a 1/16th plastic Hoplite kit:

Details and background here:

Updates as they happen.

I really like the skeletton hoplites, they look so Harryhausen!

So, where's he from? Large scale model, non-wargaming related decorative statue, repainted toy? :)

Talos started life as a 1/16th plastic hoplite kit (as I mentioned just above his picture in the first post...)

VERY COOL STUFF! The Skeletons conjure up images from Harryhausen(sp) films...can't get much cooler than that. Good luck with the new project & CONGRATULATIONS on winning the affection of a truly understanding wife.

Normally I get annoyed at people who ask questions that are already answered in the post.  ::) lol

Well done!  I'm always amazed at the amount of completed figures with terrain your able to turn out.  The Bronze age figures look really nice.  I love the John Carter green martians he sculpted.  How was Bronze age to deal with?

Great work! I like the feeling about your settings - I always get sucked into the pictures and can actually imagine things moving.

Those are some really inspiring figures. I love the settings. Maybe time to see the old movie sometime soon.

Great work.

My own Greek Mythos project has stalled, but these photos are great inspiration.  Thank you for posting them
