A quick update on a building that was influenced by some friendly banter on frothers - this will be a dodgy looking employment agency . . . . .

I will hunt you down and kill you, just so you know  ;)

How did I miss this thread?

Great stuff - nice buildings, and I really  :-* the effect you've achieved on the broken concrete on the base

Great stuff, mcfonz!
 :-*

Loving those 'worn' effects on the last building.
Very inspirational.

A little more work on the larger building of the project so far. There are more images on my blog of a couple of test games and the terrain so far.

Great stuff. Just noticed you rabbeted the corner joints and reinforced the inside corners. Did you find it necessary for this large building while using illustration board? Curious as likely to build something similar. Thanks.

Where possible I tend to always rabbit the corners - it makes it easier to construct and the corners a little bit stronger.

The supports in the corners for the large building serve two roles. As the building is a tad over 30cm long and 15cm high I found that it did need them to stop it from flexing and loosing shape whilst I was working on it. They also don't go all of the way up as they will become the supports for the roof. I used the same board cut into strips to make them look like girders.
