New Victoria, Mars. 23rd September 1889. The offices of the Illustrated London News Overseas Reporting Team.Dear Reader,
Yesterday saw the forces of her Majesty Queen Victoria,(Gaud Bless 'Er) Empress of India, Venus, Atlantis and Mars, engaged in action against the sky dwelling Martians. This is the first time the various sky dwelling clans have been seen to join forces. I can report our losses were high, but on both occassions we successfully defeated the ruthless enemy.
The first action was a dawn raid by the Martians on the mining encampment at Kaa-Nas-Ooktaa. This is the second pre dawn attack that has occured in recent weeks. We are beginning to understand the tactics these devils are employing.Archibald Harris-Hampton
