I've taken immense inspiration from the conversions that Captain Blood and admiral Benbow have shown on this forum to the Perrys plastic 1450-1500 figures.
So I've had a bash at creating a falling man at arms for my next unit of Burgundian men at arms who are charging to contact.

Some major cutting, hacking and filling here  to both horse and rider - and I wasn't too sure how it would turn out - but am happy with the result.

More pics and some words on my blog. http://je-lay-emprins.blogspot.co.uk/

Cheers
Simon.

Ooooh, I like what you've done there!

Especially admire the use of a head with an open mouth, the facial expression adds so much to the story.

Brill!

Great stuff Simon  8)

I really like the idea of a separate lance. Would it be worth bending it just a little bit as things of this shape tend to do that?

cheers

James

Excellent work Simon.  8) 8) 8)

Funnily enough I'm working on some French mounted Crossbowmen and one of them is falling from his mortally injured  horse! I hope I get results half as good as this my friend!

I've managed to get the figure painted and photographed.
here he is - happy with the result and in due course he'll be based up with two other men at arms for my Burgundians.

Now that is good. I did something similar with a broken French Napoleonic horse but was limited somewhat with the figures being metal and having fists of ham. You've really provided an excellent example of what can be achieved with these very versatile plastics. Nice!

He's turned out well Simon.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you do the one flying through mid-air, thrown by his horse  :D
