A newbie question about a coach
« on: 06 October 2012, 11:21:43 PM »
This might sound like a stupid question, and it probably is. I have a mordheim stage coach my good lady wife bough me ages ago and I have just found it, in it's original packet. It seems a shame to just bang it on Ebay, but I no longer play warhammer. I have just taken an interest in F+IW but know virtually nothing about the period because MY Musket and Tomahawk rules only arrived yeaterday.

OK. Preamble over- here is the question: Is this coach 'right' for F+IW or am I just being silly?

Not- this is not my coach- I found this picture on Witchhunter.net

Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

go for it, use it,

but it is a little late more mid early 19th cent, to retro it add a foot plate at the rear for the storage, change the wheel size to a larger wheels (artillery sets) shift the axles further apart (either side of the cabin) add leaf springs to the front to rear , move the horses further forward and add a central drive shaft and off side shaft, and harness for the horses also add another paair of horses, and  lower the coach drivers seat.........only if you want to.

closer to what you need

rear horse harness (note the shaft is for a light buggy so ignore this)

rear near side, lead near and off side horse harness

Or sell it to me and get one that's right for the period.  ;)

both Warlord and Redoubt do one... about £20-£25 though... the Warlord one has some great passenger figures though...
