Well, sometimes I get a good rolling narrative with the pictures but I got a bit absent minded with the camera in game so the pics are a little fewer and far between this month. Regardless, it was a new month and time to break out a new unit. Republics Fury and I put together 400 point lists for this game and I took the light, elite Licantzrop Jagers out for a game this month as it's the newest unit I've painted up.

The Joccian Cold Screamers moved out into the field in what became a sort of unexpected ambush by werewolves. It al looked clear ahead as they moved through the town in a third valiant attempt to rout the Star Wraith's army and get a foothold in the area to begin a campaign across the Witchlands.

Looks clear enough, no opposition sighted... Wait, something's moving on the horizon.

Wait, they're moving like blurs... Outflanking and firing muskets into the line. More and more of them keep showing up with disciplined fire and careful targeting as compared to the decidedly rubbish shooting of the usual zombies of the Star Wraith.
Groan, and another one of those vampyre officers that tends to work a bloody swathe through the battlefield. Apparently they've learned their lesson a bit as this one hangs back a bit and lets the jagers absorb some lead from the Joccian short muskets.

As the Jagers make slow forward progress, continuing to pick careful shorts and causing a bloody disaster for the Cold Screamers.

Until the leader finds his unit falling back and the werewolves upon him with a thirst for blood.

The vampyre decides this leader to leader combat just isn't happening this game and after unloading a couple pistols into some Joccians he steps back the survey the battlefield. Okay, the vampyre took a shaken token and blew his roll and decided he'd back off for a round a two.

Still the Jagers pushed forward against the Joccians and eventually forced a rout from the table firmly keeping possession of the town for yet another campaign game and the Star Wraith is exceptionally pleased with their performance.

Another good game, with good friends. The jagers performed exceptionally well and FINALLY a light and elite unit I made up didn't completely trip over itself and suffer the worst shooting imaginable for a change.Working on more Todoroni now for my youngest and then it's back into the zombie flow as I try to complete the rest of my undead division so we can maybe do a game of Slaughterloo in 2013.
