This is a brief review of the General Early Gears from Company B. They are intended to game in a Weird WW II setting, and can also be used in any hard science fiction setting. I am not connected to the company in anyway, this is a totally unsolicited, unbiased review.
I have found these kits to be of excellent quality. They arrive promptly in the mail, always undamaged due to the excellent packaging used. I have never had a missing part. The casts are perfect, without bubbles, and mold lines are cleverly hidden and easily scraped away. The gears hold primer and paint very well after a quick washing. They stand on their own after assembly without the need for bases.
Most of all, they can make any painter proud. You can add as little or as much detail as you want to and these gears look great. But the best part is using them to game with after assembly and painting. I use the Gear Krieg rules from DP9, but you can also use NUTS! These gears are really fun to game with! In scale, you can use 4" movement points or if you prefer 2". Everything is accounted for in these rules, and these gears move fast over open terrain or rough ground. Don't try to drive them through water though as they aren't intended for that. ;-)
I highly recommend these models to anyone interested in WWW II and/or hard science fiction gaming as they look great and are reasonably priced. Just Google Company B and you'll find them.
