I thought that Thon was more Scandivan mythology in feel than 40k, I kind of get a Too Human vibe about it

A slight bout of threadomancy but thought you might like to know that Thon is aiming for a March 1st launch date! Gentlemen prepare your wallets!

Or maybe they'll surprise the whole wargaming community and actually launch a game with no pre-start kickstarter? Just to grab our attention you know lol

I love the artwork for the landscape and some of the concept art. Doubt I'll buy into the game, but the rule book is probably worth picking up.

Not seeing 40K in this at all, although people do see 40K in everything nowadays.

Seeing the enthusiasm surrounding Warzone Resurrection on this forum alone, you really can't blame game designers for not wanting to attempt reinventing the wheel either.

They have all but commited to a KS actually (see their main page) so I'm almost 100% sure "the March 1 launch" means the start of that -- I just haven't yet found anything official to that effect.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if they did without. For novelty if nothing else 8)

There was an exchange of messages on my Facebook page of all places between a random member of the public and one of the guys being Thon in which the kickstarter date was discussed, I can link to it if you want.

I asked one of the Thon people when the kickstarter would begin on a different forum and he replied with 1st Mar.

It looks like they've confirmed it to BoW as well so it does look like they are launching next Friday then:

The droid isn't half bad, a little too old school maybe and the sleek "Eldaresque" gun doesn't seem to go well with the angular body (but that's easily amendable of course).

As we all know (if not see here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=51210.0), Thon KickStarter didn't kickstart anything much at all. But the development of the game is still creeping along and now there's an actual miniature on the show for a change.

Well I'll certainly get that mech/power armor thing when it's available.

Looks alright actually. Still got half an eye on Thon as there was a lot I liked about it.

It's a mean looking mech.  I believe they still can make it work.  Hopefully the relaunch won't be too far out.

I still like the art and the concepts...so I do hope this finds a way, as more minis is a good thing.  That mecha looks pretty slick (and looks excellent for even more conversion options).  Shame it has the ubiquitous chain gun/gatling cannon... lol

An irascible yet pacifistic baldy coming up for Thon:

The armour's a bit too space marinaded for my taste.
