So a priest and a fat man walk into a bar...
« on: November 10, 2012, 02:13:50 PM »
Did some painting yesterday evening...

I'm going to highlight the creeper's shoes, but beyond that, I figure these're pretty solid. The creepy fat guy was supposed to be "Deep One Hybrid" looking, not "Deliverance" looking as I had initially planned.

Added some more shading to the fattie and cleaned up the Priest's face (and neck...there was a bit of a line on the collar)

That priest has a bit of character about him.

Fat boy looks like quite a versatile figure miniature.
I could think of a few uses for him.
Looking at his eyes, though, I wouldn't want to meet him in a bar....or anywhere else, come to think of it!

I must say I'm not mad keen on the sculpts. The pair of them reminded me of the stone golem pairing for some reason.
What are you using the fat man for?
"The sword sung on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

I'm trading Oldben1 these two for two larger models. The fat guy is going to be a deep one hybrid, the priest a .... priest. I'm not a fan of RAFM at this point.  I don't much care for the priest, but I'm actually sad to see the tubalub go. I think the skin tome looks cracking....and he has a "you have a purdy mouth" quality.

I think I have the fat guy mini from a box of zombies somewhere. I wouldn't have though to paint him that way, nice.

Just a point of reference for the fat man's back story.

Oh dear...  :o

No wonder he is unarmed!! Tho that article suggests he would probably prefer his...ahem..opponent to come to the.... umm... fight....er....empty handed.

As it were.

The fat man is in a zombie pack, I don't remember who does it. He also used to be in the maniacs pack from a gothic horror line.

RAFM Maniacs, amigo.

You know, the one thing I hate about cameras today is that the zoom is so great that these miniatures look too big. I mean, it's physically impossible for a human to see these miniatures at this scale/zoom level with the naked eye.

They look a little like shit at this zoom, to be honest. When I'm holding them 2" from my face, staring them down, they look a thousand times better. And sitting in the mosque they're in right now, awaiting oldben1's response, they really look cracking.
