Those look great.

Is the tachanka 15mm or 28mm?

many thanks :) the tachankas are 15mm from battlefront (easy to assemble for charriots and nice to paint, although the horses are nothing special)

Put a brush in my hand after a long break - I paint to play so lack the urge unless I need to get something done

an Italeri Fast Build Panther I purchased about a year ago.  Made as an objective marker for Operation Squad although the ultimate goal is to transfer my Victory Decision games from 15mm to 20 mm ( so only about 40 more Valiant infantry and the support items to go - or about 2 years in Paul time  :) )

I was impressed with the detail on these models, much better than the Armourfast models I have.

Not an historic scheme but a quick and easy basecoat, wash and drybrush dab.
No dear, they are not toys, they are models

Very nice commission work, small wonder people want you to paint their minis.

The camo pattern on the jackets looks fairly simple, but really makes my eyes happy.

Bah, my previous entry is from July. This autumn hasn't been kind on hobbies. I do have plenty of undercoated and half-finished stuff on my table but this is all that can be called finished at the moment:

The silly building comes with a silly story that would deserve telling. Unfortunately I have to pack my stuff for a flight tonight so the story must wait for a better day.

However, here's a free bonus pic of strange bats and cosmic barfs including my older minis for anyone who likes comparisons.

Nightgaunts are from RAFM, Fenris, Grenadier (Mirliton) and Metal Magic (eM-4). Shoggoths are from RAFM, Black Cat, RAFM (blister filler bonus) and Fenris.

My mental capabilities have only allowed painting black stuff with no eyes. Well, the latter is highly debatable but you get the idea. More human(oid) stuff hopefully coming next month.

some modified Conquest miniatures Normans, now they are Andalusian Elite Horsemen!
finished them yesterday, but most of the work was made during November! only the painting is by me, the clever modelling work was from the miniatures owner

Those are very very nice! The fine details are especially good. I guess those shield centres are decals, but not the bits on the barding or horse gear?

my goodness, what a diverse selection.  I'd bet most of us only excell at certain scales or era.  You must have a ridiculously large collection.

Not really,
I diverted from the 20mm scene, but several friends decided to go that way for WW2 and Modern so I occasionaly paint up some scenery (sometimes even create some myself) or assemble & paint the odd plastic model.
Myself I've got :
15mm for WW2 and Sci-Fi and 28mm for zombies, Sci-Fi and fantasy/steampunk, although I don't really play the latter - I was into Confrontation years ago and gave Warmachine a shot but won't be playing those again I think. The figures can be used for other things ofcourse, maybe to help out friends if they bash an RPG togerther  :D
And yes, I've got way too much stuff lying around. Tonight I couldn't even find a fig I slightly converted some months ago  :(

First of all, thank you kind sirs!  :)

Correct. Still need to add a bit of matt varnish to it, but the kite shield has no decals.

unfortunatelly no, because this is all commission work and I'll be delivering them to their owners.
Although I'll have to paint 16 of the reddevils again because I've ruined the brushwork with badly applied varnish. that will teach me not to mock the varnish gods on a rainy day! :'(
