I thought so. I was trawling through a collection of White Stripes covers and beyond  the wonderful Alice Russell and a really great little funk version by a French guy called Ben l'Oncle Soul (who looks disturbingly like the guy in the IT Crowd)  and came across that gem. Further demonstration, if any where necessary beyond our Swedish LAF contingent, that Swedes are quite cool and have a rather dry and amusing sense of humour.

That's us! Beside being blond, suicidal and obsessed with sex and furniture in flat packages.

I cannot abide the scratchy twang of a key harp but the singer made a good number out of it.

Hopefully the nyckelharpa doesn't require self assembly, that looks like a prick of thing to put together with an Allen key.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but would a boat qualify for the theme?  I was thinking a waterline version of something (so that it could be used on a water tabletop) though water would not actually be represented on the model.

Thanks in advance for a ruling either way.

Ah bollocks, really messed the deadline on this, I thought it was for the 25th, not the 5th  ::)

Yet another competition model to languish in the cupboard (or in this case, the attic; there's no more room in the cupboard  lol ).

cheers

Bah! Finish it. I'm extremely curios of the end result :) That's not a piece to throw in the attic. It'll just start to smell old man and gather mould :(

Any thoughts on this from the Mods?  Is a boat legal?

Hey, anyone else having trouble sending photos in?  I tried to send them, but it bounced.

Nope. It is not enough. I think we stated this rather clearly. Water should not just be implied in the model. The competition is about building sculpting water in some form.

There's me buggered then or does simulating it with multiple layers of varnish count?

It counts. A waterline model has no representation of water at all, it is just suggested.

Cool.  Let us know, and we'll resend the bad boys in, so we can lose heartily.
