I think they are meant for a little later than that, given the Lee-Enfields, Lewis guns and such. 3rd Afghan War and beyond.

What's wrong with the Afghans from Newline Designs, as a matter of interest?

Nice models, but I wish they would bulk out their AZW range more before going into new ventures. I still wait for the promised skirsmishing infantry and sailors.

Hadn't seen them to be honest. It's not the Afghans I'm after though, it's their opponents. Anyone know how the Indian/Sikh troops scale with other ranges?

Mine are mostly Old Glory; one of their better ranges. I do like the look of those Empress ones though

Talking to the empress team today the Zulu stuff will have a massive wave in January ....

Anyway back to the afgans saw them up close and they are incredible... girlfriend definitely went online when we got home and made a few orders for Christmas because someone couldn't shut up
