Love the tents. Even though I never buy anything now 'cos I've got so much stuff piled up and I should be really getting rid of things, I may have to have some of these...

Just got to work out how to vulcanise 4 legged stuff!  :)

Yes - they are a bugger aren't they? Shouldn't be too bad if you're using the silicone moulds but with natural rubber, it's a work of art.

Thanks TBC - hopefully your package might be with you by the weekend?!  :)

Regarding the vac formed buildings, they're still on the agenda, I just need to finish the demo examples (soon) and finalise pricing.  Incidentally, did you see elk101s review of a test building?

I sure have!  That's what got me to email you! :)

Hey Steve, I was going through my order and I saw that you included plastic bases.  I couldnt help but notice that you use something else for your minis on the site.  Would you mind telling me what you use, and how you do it?  Also, I saw you mention briefly your snow mix, but could you elaborate a bit more?

Cheers!

A quick update.....

The canines have arrived and are lovely to look at, though I'm still considering the casting options.

The multipart ragers are on their way to me, though will need sprue-ing before casting.

The additional weapons packs are also getting close, and I am looking at the following sprue sets:

- long rifle, short rifle, double barrel shotgun, pump action shotgun
- crossbow, compound bow, spear, double-handed sword
- chainsaw, claw hammer, wrecking bar, hand axe

The weapons will be £1.39 per set of 4, just like those already in store....

I'm also working on a few bits of domestic furniture, comprising an armchair, a hardback dining chair and a small table, though suggestions for other items are always appreciated. A wip image:

The Z-Z-Zombies supplement will probably include four extra characters and I am currently speccing up chainsaw man and flamerthrower man.  The latter has taken some thinking as in the Scavenge Skirmish Survive setting, there's not a lot of fuel about.  However, I kind of struck lucky as I found a source for a home made flamethrower that will actually work.  Basically made from pressure washer hose and gun with ignition burner, a diving tank for the fuel, and a small carbon dioxide canister for power.  In the cold of the SSS winter, I suspect that CO2 would lose pressure and so for the benefit of the story am imagining that the canister could be substituted with a propane gas camping cartridge.  The thoughts of others as to the suitability of propane would be appreciated  ;) :)

A cannister of CO2 is not going to loose significant pressure due to sever winter conditions, there is a LOT of pressure in one of those.

CO2 is a great way to put out a fire however. But if all the thing is doing is pushing fuel, and not mixing with the fuel, then no big deal. Could be a safety feature!

I like the use of the pressurised camping gas cannisters though! That's smart and there are lots of those out in the world... WAY more than any convenient format for CO2. Also much less of a safety feature, so that could be a bonus.  ;D

Thanks Mr P  :D

Yeah, in the design it pushes the fuel.... the hose outlet is at the bottom of the tank and the gas inlet at the top..... open up the gas, release the trigger on the gun and fuel is pushed down the tank, along the pipe and out the gun.

I'd post the link to the Youtube video of it in action but I don't want to encourage anyone to build one........   :o ;)

Any word on when the buildings and this new stuff will be available in the shop?

Hi TBC

The buildings won't be just yet, as I have to first finish putting together the demo sets for a demo game  (BLAM) in early November.  Pricing is also unresolved.... but essentially each piece of vac-formed plastic costs the same to manufacture, so when the tents are in the shop I'll have likely made the decision.  So, the vac-formed buildings *should* be sometime in November.

The spec for the new 'zombie fighters' will have to go off to the sculptor so there'll be a longer delay for them.

Everything else that has been discussed will be the result of a big mould-making and then casting session probably next week.  The canines are the bugbear as I'm still thinking about how to do a couple of them, while I also have to finish the weapon sets, which should be done this weekend.

Cheers

Steve  :D

PS: Amongst all this I also have to replace the website software with the current version (sadly, a replace rather than an update :'( ) as I think some PayPal changes due in early October are likely to impact on payment processing.  I'm hoping I'll get the bulk of that done this weekend, leaving me free thereafter to concentrate on demo games and new toys  :D

A mattress and a fridge (You need somewhere to keep the beer after the apocalypse) and what about an old style cooker with the grill above? (all as abandoned items, not functional, except the mattress :D)

Small camping stove might be good. I imagine they'd be pretty popular for cooking and a lot of people have them
