Well, the boring plasticard blanks are now not quite so boring vac forms

They'll be in store very soon, just need to sort them and list them.

The following is from our Facebook page

Quote
The basic building pack for a 3-sided house that is fully accessible from the rear, comprising 8 pieces of plasticard (3 exterior walls, 3 roof sections, 2 internals including cupboards and stairs ) will be £9.99. Single sheet conversion pieces (such as the store shelving etc) and extras (such as pavements) will be £1.39 each. They'll also be an option to order specific sheets as extras, which will delay the order as they'll be formed on demand but they'll also be £1.39 each. Comprehensive instructions for the house will be available as a free PDF. Don't forget though that some modelling ability will be required plus an inner core (5mm foamboard is suggested) for the plasticard facades to be attached to. Oh, and coffee stirrers (craft sticks) will also be needed, if a plank floor is desired
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

"Some modelling ability may be required"? Put it this way, if I can build one......!
I built mine entirely with foam board off-cuts that I had in a scraps box and some sheets of scored balsa for the floors. Other than the plasticard I had everything else in the house already.Good to see these going into the store.

Thanks chaps and a special thanks to Steve (elk101) as quite some months ago he kindly tested an assembly of a building.

Here's a link to his review.

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55703.0

Why four months to get from then to now? I wanted to prove that the same basic kit (with maybe the odd extra sheet) could be used as the basis for many different types of buildings ..... Which as incorporated into the demo table at BLAM has now been achieved, with variations from the small (garage block, railway office) to the large (supermarket, three story block of flats).  :)

Maybe you can set it up with a suggestion of what extra sheets one may need to make certain projects.  So say, show building A and show that it was built using these sheets, Base set + these extras.  Does this make sense?

James: Cheers mate  :D

Erik: I plan another instruction PDF for the more advanced buildings.  It's not ready yet but I won't hold up the houses for it.  When you see the PDF for the houses it will make more sense  :) ;)

I'm also working up a few survivor figures using the 'rager' multipart and spare weapon sets. This one will be 'running man with axe and compound bow'. I'm also working on 'man with chainsaw', 'man with flamer' and 'athletic man with big sword'. Btw I will be adding casts of these to the store so they'll be available to buy with no conversion work required.

There are other conversions planned. Plus I still have unique characters to commission as well (pregnant lady, etc) but the sculptors next task is to work on the multipart shamblers (males) that will bring into play the added benefit of another batch of conversion bits. There'll also be more troopers, survivors without rucksacks, some ak47s etc, and some non-multipart ragers and shamblers.

Bloody hell, mate!

That is quite some progress you have made.

Those buildings are a great. cheap alternative, useful for so many things.
The word must be spread!

As for those multi-part fellas....sooooooo useful.

I was tempted to buy a few dogs but seeing that may just have pushed me over the line for a bigger order Steve! Great idea.

So, basically, if you want pavements they'll be a stock item at £1.39 but if you only want the 3 exterior wall panels they can be special ordered at the same price each.  Alternatively, the 8 panel kit for a single house will also be a stock item at £9.99 (which works out at £1.25 a panel).

Paul/Matt: Ta very much ..... I have a black powder musket as well, which will go into the weapons section ASAP.  ;)

The vac-form building panels are now in store  :)

http://www.miniaturemojo.co.uk/sections/39/vac-formed_building_sheets/0/10/

Instructions/templates for the single fronted building are available as a PDF (there's a link on each of the product pages).  Similar PDFs for making a short terrace and using the shop conversion parts will follow idc.

Good question.  No plans made as yet (which is a bit late if I wanted a table).   Still thinking about conventions for 2014...... :?
