Thanks Imp, I really like Nick Lund's sculpts, especially the Grenadier Hobgoblins, they had an evil and oriental look to them.

Thanks again Mason, I don't paint as many Citadel minis (and knights) as I would like but hope to paint some soon.

Thanks DeafNala, these old guys really deserve painting, I am painting a really old mini right now (from 1973) and he is proving really fun to do. He'll be posted next week.

Cheers again guys,
 Damien

Looks good. Good choice making it a zombie... Eyeless, half orc adventurer, doesn't sound very adventurous

Great stuff - he just needs his own dungeon (the last one he ever explored!) to haunt.  :D

Great idea, Damien! The zombie turned out really well ... Glad this guy didn't end up on the rubbish heap! Could make for some interesting gaming scenarios :D

Keep posting up interesting minis!

Thanks for the comments everyone, comments like these are what keep me motivated.

Hi beefcake, "Eyeless, half orc adventurer, doesn't sound very adventurous" but it does have a certain ring to it, doesn't it?  :D Moral of the story: If you have a lump of lead that doesn't look like much, make him into a zombie.

Thanks Blackwolf, as you can see, I am addicted to all the old toys from my childhood; I love painting these guys up.

Hi Thantsants, loved your 'Goblin Quest' thread, he would be perfect in an adventure, perhaps we need to create some zombie characteristics for the game.

Thanks Suber, you now have me looking up Rogue Trader era minis on Ebay, love your threads.

Hello Princess, thank you for your positive comments, I eagerly await more of your wonderfully painted Kermits.

Thanks again everyone,
 Damien

Hello lads and gals, last week I painted a Heritage miniature Gnome. On his base, he was date stamped to 1973! That is one old school mini! He was really fun to paint due to his large face and big nose, I added some red ink to his nose to give him that classic drunk/cold look but it did not show up on the pics  :( but it looks really good 'in real life'. All these old minis seem to have sad/wise expressions which are very fun to paint.

Here he is, let me know what you think:

He has cool little features like studded leather armour, a little pouch,a dagger, man I love painting these old minis.

Cheers,
 Damien

I remember when the Heritage Dungeon Dwellers were The State Of The Art minis on the block...later Reaper reissued them, along with their own pieces, as part of their initial offering. Your rendition of the Little Guy is OUTSTANDING. You managed to capture his personality perfectly...considering how small he is that's no mean accomplishment. VERY WELL DONE!

The gnome is great and you should post the Chronicle fig to the Lost Minis Wiki and there is a blank spot for that fig.

Nice work Damien. That mini has stood the test of time hasn't it. Still looks like a dwarf to me though :)

Really nice model considering the age. He'd fit in quite happilky with stuff sculpted 15 years later! Nice one.  :-*

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Hi DeafNala, I would like to find some more somewhere, these guys have that old Basic D&D feel to them. Isn't there a website that still sells these guys, some guy bought the molds and sells minis part time or something; I'll have to look it up.

Hi Imp522, thanks for the comment, I agree with you, these guys have uber character. Btw, nice Beatmen warband.

Thanks Spooktalker, love your thread, I'll take a look at how to post the Chronicle mini, you don't think his face is too 'soft' to post though (his nose is almost none existant)?

Hey beefcake, thanks for the comment, to be honest with you dwarves, gnomes they are interchangeable to me (miniature wise anyway  :-I) But they are fun to paint so I don't care  lol

Thanks majorsmith!

Hello stone-cold-lead, thanks for the encouragement, I (as well as everyone else) am loving your bretonnian thread, now I want to buy some Citadel/Foundry knights.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment,
 Damien
