Do not have enough hands for the facepalm this requires.

What an idiot - by his reasoning Italy should be able to plug it's fiscal cliff by suing the makers of Gladiator (and all other Roman epics) as they didn't seek permission to use likeness of anything from Roman history!

Wait a week and you'll see someone from the Guatemalan Ministry of Culture file a countersuit claiming that as the hoax relates to Belize it is rightfully theirs.  lol

I am surprised that the the Acme Crystal Skull Company hasn't sued for breach of licence. They've been cranking these puppies out for decades. They also do small step pyramid kits for zumba lessons.

I suspect this action may be considered attention-seeking behaviour from a sad little archaeology department that missed out on a recent grant application.

Personally, I look forward to the competing claims.

"The crystal skull is Mayan"

"No it's Mayan"

"You're wrong, it was Mayan, all the time"

Anyway since the world ended last week, I suspect there's been a considerable mark down on all things Mayan amongst the New Age community.
