Buildings Project WWII
« on: January 17, 2013, 06:59:52 PM »
Hi everyone. It has been at least 3 years since i started thinking about a set of facades and whole buildings for 28mm WWII.

Finally i took my life in hand and started making them. Here is a first sketchup shape, it will NOT be 3d printed, mainly because it's a damn expensive job, and secondly because i feel a lack of manual work there.

I'll work on various steps and i'll try to follow them with photos, to keep you updated.
The final result will be similar to this building i made 3 years ago for 15 mm

well... in the next days i'll make it real... hopefully!

Cheers
Jack

Thanks Captain!

Here's another version of the upper floor i started working on.

My first step is a laser cut, so i'll have to wait for the cutting a couple of weeks or less... after that i'll start working with my bare hands! (maybe some tools as well! ;) )

Here's with windows:

No threadomancy, just showing some progress.

The laser cut arrived, now i'm going to make the first mould, from wich i'll start handworking on it! :)

there are two versions of the upper floor, and i'll make two versions of the ground floor as well, thanks to the successive work.

heh. not my scale, sadly.

First intermediate cast done, i'll have to redo it for the actual sculpting. Just to see the quality.

  :o  :-*  ;D

Those look marvelous! What kind of detail level you are going for? As those look pretty darn good already... are these maybe available for purchase for us mere mortals later on?
