Silent Soldier - Diver for DeepWars
« on: January 18, 2013, 04:29:13 AM »
Thought this one would fit for other VSF games. Painted with lots of washes and glazes. The basic concepts are very similar to the other soldier, but this one is in metallics and tool about a third of the time to do. If people want, I can put up some of the WIP steps.

I love the paint job and the figure is very cool. I just think that if he was fighting underwater the swords would not 'slash n cut' as well? Maybe a harpoon gun? Reminds me of GW assault marines.  :o

Agreed - a long slashing weapon is one of the most useless thing you could arm yourself with underwater - far better to have a harpoon gun - or even a just a harpoon. Other than that, a nice figure, but the swords have to go.

At least remove the notches - poor maintenance implys poor performance.

Gracias,

Gosh, such a beautiful job painting, and much of the figure entrancing, yet I have to join in the nit picking about the implement/weapons.

Alas, I'm a bit confused as to the pose as well. Is he descending, preparing to land on the ocean floor? If the boots are the weights I assume, I'd be thinking high kicks are unlikely. On further examining, I suppose the fans are supporting him, but still...

Please, please don't let us discourage you!
