Doomsday device (Painted!)
« on: January 21, 2013, 07:30:32 PM »
This is my Doomsday device, I was thinking about some mad (or brilliant) scientist who had been collecting old magical standing stones,
then made some kind of amplifying device controlled by a Mi-Go Brain cylinder driven computer (is 1920-30ish CPU I guess  o_o).

Its not painted yet, but what do you think? should I proceed? any ideas for making it better?

What a great idea!

I was thinking about doing something similar - only having copper bands wrapped around the stones, hooked up to a machine with wires, etc...

What did you use to create your stones?

Stones are from Fenris games.
Metal Orb are Ghalgast from Warmachine
Computer is from some vendor at a show.
Mi-Go brain canister is from Black Cat miniatures.

That's really nice looking, Bergh.

Were you able, put a dial wheel on the back of the device numbered 0-9 and an "on/off" dial. That would allow you to keep track of things right on the device.

In any event, it looks very sharp! Well done!

A small nail with a large head can act as the post; simply drill into the back of the computer with a small drill/pin vise to the same size as the nail. For the wheel, you can use plasticard...just take a washer, lay it on plasticard (or whatever) and use an x-acto knife to cut it. Then just paint/label it however you want.

Do the same thing but on a smaller wheel with just on/off listed on it.  That's how I did it on mine, although mine is a little less pretty ;)
