We should probably stop derailing the thread though.

No need to stop the interesting discussion, maybe you guys can post possible concept art and even builds in this thread, if you want to, that is.

Went to check from one local model shop for cheap 1:48 plane kits but prices were too high for a cheap-skate like me, if I just plan to cut up the kit for fun :)

So just need to continue weathering the walker until I find a new kit to butcher.

bit of a scary exponential jump in skill level compared to yesterday. Weird because for 3 years this stuff made no sense to me at all in film school. I loathed it.

 lol

Do I EVER understand that!

Okay, major thread hijack: 'weathering the walker'?
I have never heard that phrase, but it's so right. Is it something you say in Suomi translated to English?

I think he meant it far more literally...applying a "weathering" process to the actual DUST Walker.  lol

Here's a piccy of the walker in its current status.

Heavy Walker unit R2 from the 3rd Desert Group, seen during a short supply stop during the 4th Battle of Ryn Desert. The unit was lost in an enemy ground-attack fighter strike which took place shortly afte this picture was taken.
