One Eyed Figures
« on: March 04, 2013, 11:27:55 PM »
anyone know of some 28mm figures of monsters with one eye?
I already know about Beholders and Cyclopes and Wiz Kids had a monster called a Grimlin but are there any others. I thinking of making a warband of figures with very poor shooting ability.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

This is a Creep from Alien Dungeon, Fanticide game. It´s human size (it´s based on a 30mm base).

Cheers.

I don't know if he still makes them, but I have an old McEwan miniatures one eyed purple people eater. He now is Riveresco but I don't think he does any of his old fantasy figures.

Nearest would be VSF:  http://www.tin-soldier.com/colonial/vsf.html  but no monsters

or perhaps SF:  http://www.tin-soldier.com/starguard/terrel.html  Terellians are monocular

Or Critters: http://www.tin-soldier.com/starguard/crutters.html  not really...

Ask him, John has cast from retired molds for me in the past if he had the molds easily found in his archives.  He will tell you if the molds are questionable in advance.  A solid gentleman of the old school.

Gracias,

Glenn

Dark Platypus Studios makes a few monsters with one eye (plus additional eyestalks that should be easy to remove). Unfortunately they are not available for general sale at the moment, since the creator is busy sculpting and fulfilling his kickstarter backer orders. However, I believe all the sculpts shown below can be purchased directly by contacting him through email: majorplatypus AT comcast DOT net

Ral Partha has the old DSA Gotongi (an eyeball with bat wings): http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/17048-gotongi-demon-4-p-1044.html

Heresy has some cyclops minis: http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_81&zenid=a4c6e13e9cbae76915caaee4f1b9cbbd
and also some spare cyclopian heads (they're for the Blights) http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=83
There's also the Occulak, but that has quite a few eyestalks (though snipping of the eyes and replacing them with hands and feet would lead to a interesting and somewhat creepy creature) http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_10_44&products_id=69

Four A has a little cyclops: http://www.fouraminiatures.com/page2.htm

Fenris have a nice cyclops as well: http://www.fenrisgames.com/shop.html#!/~/product/category=2202436&id=9473743

Black Hat has some scifi creatures: http://www.blackhat.co.uk/online_shop/index.php?cPath=121_182_185&osCsid=7fc4f0a51f7846383994c577823ecb25
