I was just looking at wikipedia for some typical british names ^^ I live in Germany so I know many typical german surnames. But i don`t know english ones.
Could it be that "morley" is a typical british name? I mean something like "Bauer" or "Schmidt" here in germany?
And by the way, the surname sounds realy cool!

Morley is not unheard of, but it is not really a 'typical' name, such as Smith, Jones, or Davies.

I know a couple of Morleys*, and there was the dear old British actor Robert Morley:

Does anybody have some good sounding names for my next models?
there will be:

- One explorer/archeologist/ professor... what ever ^^
- One brittish officer ( maybe Corporal John Winston?)
- One soldier

I thought one model should have "Hemingway" as it`s surname... but which one should have this name?

Corporal is a pretty low rank, remember, not really suitable for an officer. John Winston is a good name though.

How about "Horatio Hemingway" for your professor/explorer type?

Yes, corporal is an NCO, roughly equivalent to a German Unteroffizier (though these things don't seem to translate across directly).

In English when someone says "officer" it usually means a Lieutenant or higher. Someone with a commission.

I've always been a fan of the name Cuthbert. Arbuthnot is a surname that screams British to me.
