Thanks

Very nice! Though I have to say I am never quite sure what people mean by "lots of character"
Well I know what I mean by it, although it is hard to define...

Some wargames figures are bland, generic troops - not badly sculpted necessarily, although there are plenty of averagely sculpted figures still out there. But even where some sculptors have obviously tried to imbue a figure with some individual personality, this doesn't always come off. They remain neutral, impassive, uninteresting, however technically well executed (although there's an obvious correlation between lack of sculpting quality and technique, and lack of character in the finished model).
On the other hand, some sculptors - perhaps a majority these days - seem able to invest their models with a real sense of personality: they're like proper little individuals - not just mannequins. Some sculptors are better at creating these characters than others. Copplestone is a past master, so is Mike Owen. Others who shall remain nameless, can't seem to manage it. Their figures always just look like anonymous figures rather than 'characters'.
Give me a figure with character every time.
