My 28mm US Navy (Finished 4/25)
« on: March 28, 2013, 01:53:36 PM »
My whaleboat project was a warm-up for the current scratchbuild.  This time I'm building a waterline PT-41, which was the 77' Elco boat that rescued Gen Macarthur from Corregidor. Like the rest, this one is 1/56th scale, done in basswood and thin plywood.  I've finally made enough progress to post a few photos:

Good lord! You must be one of the most prolific scratchbuilders I know. And with a huge variety of subjects too.
So, since each iteration is larger than the last, what's after this- a Corvette?

Wonderful work as ever. You really are the undisputed master of this sort of thing. I love these threads. Only problem is  now have the McHales's Navy theme stuck in my head as an ear worm.
