Error messages more frequent lately?

I was hit by a series of these during the last 10 minutes:

Error 500 - Internal server error
Ein interner Fehler ist aufgetreten!
Bitte versuchen Sie es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt or you will be shot in the street like a dog.

Whoa! As I tried to post the above the service really started to act up! I also got this:

I just got the following message at about 23:30 UK time when I tried to return to the forum main page after adding a post on the VSF board:

I got the same error message although closing the browser window and reopening it seemed to resolve the problem.

all seems very slow this morning but the thing that made me post is the new posts since last visit bit does not seem to be refreshing.

Have viewed numerous times today and each time the count goes up and older posts are not disappearing

i don't know how many, but i got a lot of the 500 errors the last minutes. wasn't easy to use the forum any more...

Ok, guys, thanks for your replies! My provider says, we need definitely a web server, we had about 5.000.000 visitors in the last 12 months and he's not able to guarantee a safe running of the forum as long as they have other customers on the server.

But the new software should make it a bit better. That will be our first step soon, I'm ready with the Forum Gallery and as soon as we have tested this, some days later I hope to be able to start with the new LAF, that means end of this week yet or at the latest at beginning of the next week

Thats a hell of a lot of visits.   Congrats Prof on creating a great place to visit.   :mrgreen:
