Scenery from pet shops
« on: April 01, 2013, 05:00:49 PM »
I have been down my local pet supplies picking up aquarium and lizard scenery. Excellent for quickly throwing into a scenario or skirmish game. I have done nothing to any of the pieces- just added a figure (28mm) to show the scale. I am going to cut the submaine in half and "re-float" it (filling in the holes in the side and putting a base into the conning tower so that I can put figures in the top).

I bought most from Pets at Home (UK) which are having a "buy three and get the third free" offer at the moment. The prices before the offer are-  Statue £13.00, Greek Temple £13.00, Submarine £10.00, desert scenery £13.00, Sphinx £4.00, Easter Island £4.50 and Plant £5.00. With the third one free, they worked out pretty cheap (I think).

Actually £15 for four of the plant one isnt too shabby. I'm tempted.
Nice find.

Certainly seem good prices, especially with the offer.

Not sure if the submarine floats my boat  lol. I already have the Stone Buddha head but i do like the rocks and cacti combo, never seen them with cacti before, nice one.

Along with Opp\charity shops and $2.00 shops, Aquarium shops are a treasure trove of good stuff as you display here. Always guaranteed to find that old temple of Atlantas piece that these days would only be found below water.

Good finds.  :)
