Martians
« on: April 25, 2013, 02:59:22 PM »
The Attack on New Victoria made me nostalgic for Mars. The Thark is from Parroom Stations's Germ Plasm Hybrid line. These remind me of Michael Whelan's illustrations. The Askari and officer are from Rafm's Space 1889 line . Space 1889 is what got me into VSF. John Carter is from Bronze Age Miniatures. Since John Carter is a Victorian gone Martian it seemed fair to post J'on J'onnz , a Martian gone Victorian. He started out as a Grenadier Shadowrun Nosferatu.

As I mentioned before I realy enjoyed Space: 1889. When the game first came out Martian figures were rare on the ground. These are from GW. the one on the right is a Blood Bowl Elf with a flintlock added, the one on the right a chaos warrior. We truly live in a Golden Age of VSF, so many choices compared to decades past.

I flipped the right and left again.

Noticed, figured it out, decided not to comment.

Gracias,

More Panthans (Martian Mercenaries) The left one is from Rafm's Space 1889 line It was in their Adventurers pack and the first Martian Fig they marketed. The one on the right is a fantasy fig from Ral Partha.
