Thorbjorn, that first pic is A1. You old pro you  lol

Mind you, I do feel the colours are a bit subdued...  ;)

Lovely idea to use the Bayeux shield designs though. You ingenious Dane.

Haha! Thanks Blood!  :D

Nice paint work, good idea on the tapestry.
Foot warriors for Normans in saga are completely useless, so ease up on painting more. I found out the hard way also. Read the battle board a lot, special stuff only works with mounted units and shooting units. I built three foot warriors and found myself only activating them normally and not gaining any fun stuff. It was very boring to play. It is ok in a six point game to take a unit of them as filler or a speed bump or a tactic distraction.

OK... that's somewhat of a let down!  :?

But I'm used to getting thrashed anyway.  lol

Never mind! No power gaming! We don't play to win, we want the drama and the heroic yet utterly useless sacrifices of the good old northern sagas... If you want to win, don't waste time with painting miniatures, learn rules and tactical details instead. And make sure you have a nice, powerfully built gentleman telling your opponent he'd better lose or else...  lol

I agree completely.  It's just impossible to explain around these parts. .. and there's a building saga community.

Ah, but as I said I don't mind being thrashed.   lol

Just calls for more story

If you dont like them as normans, you can just play them as anglo-saxon dark age warriors alle look the same anyways. So I think we can make it work regardless.

Next time we have a play-date I will try and remember to bring the Saga rulebook and the battleboards, so you can read them for yourself.
