CROM Battle Report:  Episode 1 - Invoking Hrakna
(Jump to Episode 2 - Escaping Hrakna, here - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=53744.msg635950#msg635950)

(Jump to Episode 3 - Fatima's Tomb, here - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=53744.msg639863#msg639863)

Elbows and I were joined by a local 9y/o and played our first game of CROM on Thursday.  A good time was had by all, and I'm prepping for Episode 2.  I'm also pondering the purchase of a box of Hoplites just to expand the pool of villains.

And no, those are not rayguns, those are ancient artifacts into which, when the dragon Hrakna awakens, Helena the sorceress can channel the dragon's power and create a gout of eldritch fire.

You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

The Hyborean Henna-Haired Harridans EPISODE 2: Escaping Hrakna

(We allowed Hrakna the ability to use summoning rules to resurrect fallen models and place them under his thrall.  This used the summoning-magic rules as written, and raised models joined his activation card the next turn.  Raised models attacked whoever seemed most logical if he failed his control roll.  He was also able to regenerate - roll each of his remaining dice, and regenerated another die on each 4+, up to his max of 10.)

Love the story, can´t wait to know, whom they will meet in the dungeon. Regeneration is a real good addition to the rules. Consider it stolen.  :D

By all means steal, and share your own house rules too!

Nice AAR! What are the figures from, Froggy?

The heroines and Dragon are all from Reaper and are unconverted.  The Amazon leader is also from Reaper, and the Amazons are from Wargames Factory, all converted.

Just posting up the pics I took.  Froggy already narrated the story.  I really suffered the first game because the rules are...different than many games.  I was much better off the second game, though it was a very close-run thing.

It's very difficult for even a 10-dice hero to effectively deal with four henchmen etc.

The Tale, the Cast, & the Scenery are WONDERFUL, CINEMATIC, & INSPIRING! The cartoon format is a perfect way to tie it all together. GREAT WORK!
