Fireforge Mounted Sergeants (complete July 2)
« on: May 29, 2013, 05:05:32 PM »
These are really a cross-over because I am using them in a fantasy setting, but I figured I'd post them here as well:

Great job :)

I have got a box of these and they fit well with other 28mm - mind you the lances are as long as cocktail sticks

They're massive weapons no doubt!  I'm saving any lanced armed troops for future Templars

Very, very nice work there. Is it just me but do some of those arm scuplts look a tad bit gimpy?

Very nice. I really like these fireforge minis. Do they have any horses that are just slowly walking along rather than at pace.

Hubbynz: the arms aren't too bad, some of them could be better.  Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the miniatures.  The biggest problem I noticed was the lack of detail between the riders' legs and the stirrups.  I imagine it's mainly due to the molding process.

Beefcake:  I don't think they have any at a slower gait.  The horse bodies come in two halves and are all interchangeable, so there is the possibility to get what you want.

Beefcake - the horses are all cantering and charging....no trotters, standing still or rearing up

They look like nice miniatures, and you painted them up well... they're relatively expensive for plastics, though.

Well painted, i'm waiting for my box to arrive.
If you want some new horse bodies, you could always cut 2 of them in half and swap they, you could make some walking horses that way.

Four mounted sergeants have been completed!  I changed the shield design and I think they work much better.  I think the miniatures are great, but the weapons are over-sized for historical figures.  Two more and the box is done and I'll move on to infantry.
