yep, pretty grassroots  :D
did You count how many "delivered"

I have to confess poor time management this month so 'delivery' will be late :)

GenCon, I started a new semester of teaching, working on gladiator artwork, painting twenty figures at once...

I'm just finishing up basing though and should have some pics in the next day or two.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Is the Art Appreciation course for those who hate art? ;)

To tell the truth I approach it as a 'How to Learn to Think' class, it just uses art as the vehicle.

I wouldn't say I have art haters but many don't have any experience with it at all. I've had students that haven't heard of Leonardo da Vinci or Van Gogh for example, or can't interpret a painting as depicting Jesus despite the presence of symbols anyone born in the last several hundred years would know, even accidentally absorbed, had their eyes been open. Speaking of Leo da Vinci, did you know he was a prehistoric artist? 'Cause that's what he has been labeled in an exam ;)

It's scary in academia, very scary.  o_o

Oh my could I tell stories... Did you know stonehenge is made of concrete?

My brother sent his kids to an exclusive school in Norfolk .... £9k per term. PER TERM!!

At parent-teacher evening they were talking to the English Literature teacher expressing concerns that, at age 15, my nephew didn't read books (possibly had never read a book that wasn't a game manual), even the ones on the syllabus.

The teacher said it didn't matter, so long as he watched the films of the books.

Unbe-fecking-lievable. This from a teacher at an exclusive school. There really is no hope.

Well I have posted my pictures for my August & September out put. Also pictures of the figures I plan to paint in October. Keeping on pace. I need to think about what I will do for November. Don't know about the rest of you, but I think that in December we should all post a full picture of the armies we have painted both here & on our own threads. Looking forward to seeing everything we have all done.

I'm may be a little behind the rest of you as I've two more months of infantry with December as my equipment and cavalry month  :D

So the final group shot will be towards the end of the year.

I'm in with that one, although my project won't be finished by december, but nonetheless, end of the year is a good date

With 2.5 units left, terrain and about another 20 character figures I seem to have acquired these last few weeks, I may not complete the project this year. I am definitely getting a little tired of painting this uniform.  ::)

I know what You are talking about, for me it is this bondage nightmare of webbing straps and ammo pouches....  ;D

but still, if already two units is rewarding, how much more rewarding can 7 units be?  :D

I know the feeling, hence keeping my 'exposure' to field grey limited to a unit a month  ;)
