Very nice. I love the idea of a future UN, that has some firepower :)

Nice Daniel like the way they've been presented too. Looks like the company care about their products,  card packaging support on the tank barrel. The quality of the casting is spot on.

Thanks Bud  :)

Here's something new:seeing Dr. Mathias excellent Step by Step Painting made me realise how much i love wip/Process Photos  ;D
Not that any of you fine Chaps would need my Painting Tips but here's a quick Tutorial of how i paint a Mech relatively easily  ::)

GW Charodon Granite Primer

Vallejo US Army Green Basecoat

mixed Vallejo Silver Grey with the US Army Green for the Shading,i've applied 3-4 thin Layers.

forgot to take a Pic of the next Step  ::) After the Shading i've applied a Filter to blend the colors. The Filter is simply made of the Basecoat Army Green+ Secret Weapon Armour Wash mixed with Vallejo Glaze Medium and most importantly distilled Water  ;) The Model is now Green again  lol,Added Decals and painted some Details, the Cockpit,Headlights etc

End of Part 1,hope you enjoyed it. I'm posting the Weathering and Finishing tonite  :)

Looks great, nice to see process!

I've not tried the 'filter' method yet, I suppose its just a matter of time.

thanks  :) I'm not using Filters all the Time but i found them very practical when painting Mechs.

Here's Part 2 of the Tutorial  :)

Materials used for the Weathering

i used a soft Pencil to "drybrush the sharp Edges of the Model, also added some Scratches here and there.
before/after

next came the Rust  lol Mixed GW Calthan Brown with GW Macharius Orange, watered down with Vallejo Matt Medium

before/after

Okay, hope you can see it on the next Pics: Streaking Grime

First i painted small stripes n Dots (the dark Grey Paint ;))

Streaking Grime takes about 20-30 Minutes to dry. After that i blended it with White Spirit. The Result is a light Grey Chalky Effect, just like real dried(Rain) Water, very subtle but also very cool  ;D Sorry Pics really don't do them justice  :?

then i came to the Weathering Pigments, not much to say here,i drybrushed the Powder onto the Model and fixed it with Pigment Fixer.Earth Tones for the Feet,Black Soot for the sooty Parts...

after/before

Finally, Vallejo Gloss Varnish for the Cockpit Dome and the Headlights-finito  ;D

Yup,thats an inverted 5  ::) ::)

Umm, 'Not much to say'? You make the pigment part sound pretty easy. I hate the stuff, not sure what I do wrong but applying it after fixer, before fixer, with or without seems to produce crap results. What is the secret, I must know!

Well i'm using the Weathering Powders from NOCH,they're the very best in my opinion,Vallejo Pigments are the worst  :(
applied with a very blunted Brush,a Layer of Pigment Fixer,Job's done  ???

Alternatively you could mix the Pigments with distilled Water and Matt Varnish until you have Paste and gently brush it on your Model  ???

That is amazing, but the speed makes it really something else!!!!!! o_o

thanks Adam,i could have done this much faster though,a certain Mordheim Warband i also have on my Painting Desk slowed me down  ;) lol

Daniel, your tutorial makes is sound so easy!

It's just a pity there's guys like me, who can't even paint a straight line, lol. Great work as usual, thanks for the tutorial!

Long Time no Update, sorry Guys  :'( finished few more Pieces at least  :)

Light Mechs for the FSE.these are 1/35 powered Suits from Crusher Joe,pretty slick Models me thinks...

Size Comparsion with a certain 1/35 Pilot and 28mm Mini

next is a light Mech for the UN,not very keen on the Model a bit pricey for what you get, it's the 1/144 Quaedluun Rau from Shapeways, still looks good as a light Mech next to 25mm Minis  ;)

erm, another Project but fits in here aswell  ;)

thanks for watching  :)
