Revisiting a Bretonnian Castle
« on: July 15, 2013, 03:14:56 AM »
My son and I made this many years ago as a father-son school project.  He was about ten at the time.

That's pretty neat. :) It still holds up, IMO.

That is a LOVELY piece...a cool way of showing off your FINE minis as well. The additional photos are definitely worth a trip to your blog. The damaged section is an OUTSTANDING effect! GREAT WORK!

Out of curiosity, how did your son make out with the Castle at school?
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

The only non-home made bits in the castle are the windows and the door frame of the keep which came from the GW card buildings that were in one of the old edition Warhammer basic sets - and the chains.  The rest insulation foam, polyfilla and card.

It was the best castle of course! There were bigger but most were made of cardboard. The one time having a wargamer as a Dad was not an embarrassment :)
