Harry Potter and Ron Weasley
« on: 16 July 2013, 04:58:04 PM »
In a recent wave of madness I thought: Why don't I find myself some Harry Potter miniatures and rules?  ;D
Since I couldn't find anything, I quickly gave up hope for such a project. But the idea was stuck in my head, and I had to find an option to get, and if necessary convert the figures of the three main cast members and perhaps some other miniatures. In the end I found that Space Vixens from Mars had a boy in school uniform in their range. Brilliant. All I needed to do was to order two and convert them to Harry and Ron. Today I received the miniatures and I immediately started green stuffing. I just added wands, and with the green stuff I started making the robes, Harry's hair and his glasses...

... And Vernon's your uncle! Just a quick and rough green stuff job, but nothing paint can't cover up. I apologise for the bad pictures, they were taken with my phone.
I'm going to paint them as soon as possible and will post further progress here.

Cheers

I was just painting the conversions, and so far I'm quite pleased with how they turn out. I'm going to use this one for Hermione: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=alyx-%28rock-chick%2C-wizard-%26-misunderstood%29~hfa030&category=miniatures~juveniles
She has a wand and spellbook option. Her hair might need a little roughing up though.
