KV-1 40k Leman Russ
« on: 21 July 2013, 02:16:20 PM »
It's been a long time since I was actually proud of something I painted, but this I actually am, its only gaming quality though, but I'm happy with it.

This is my head is how a leman Russ should be, and no I was not inspired to do it because of the ragnarok or whatever.

Woo, that looks very good indeed. Nice detail touches.

Very nice conversion and paintwork. The spot light and weathering particulary.

I say that one looks better than the overwhelming majority of "Ragnarok Pattern" Leman Russ I've seen. The colour combination works very well, the parts match up to excellent effect and the searchlight glass looks great.

Your not the first to say that, though I always think 40k is what you make it, not what GW says it is, but I've had death threats pm'd to me in the past on 40k forums for doing stuff like this haha

:o great conversion indeed. Way much better than the GW version. I've always thought that those FW turret were wasted on the normal Leman Russ. But they are perfect for bigger tanks/chassis like the KV-1.

Very cool. I brought a bunch of ww2 german vehicles to convert into IG tanks. Never got round to it though.

WOW that looks way better than a normal LM!
Is the chasis 1/48 or 1/35?

Cracking paintjob there sir!  I love the detail - the searchlight, the spots of rust, the grime on the skirting.  You have a talent for vehicles.
