Hi Folks,

This one is really for Poly. I found these photos of Germans in the Balkans on the Picklehaube site. Many thanks to Robert for providing these pics.

Meet a few gentlemen with "Balkanmützen" (from left): Oberleutnant Scherler from Elberfeld, "me", Dr. Simon from Leipzig, Rittmeister Sacher (?) from Torgau, Hauptmann Reibig from Lützen, Hauptmann Blochius Hartmann from Düsseldorf. Date Oct 12th, 1915.

This one is just unbelievable. Were they wearing them for a bet?

I'd really like to see those guys do a goose march in those hats. Talk about incapacitating your enemies, them laughing themselves into a catatonic state.

That is some excellent picture editing Helen, I imagined you taller though....

Still, I've never seen a picture of Gartzenwerge-schützen before. Excellent trench raiders and expert at getting across Gnomeman's land....
