my supers project
« on: 03 August 2013, 10:01:41 PM »
Hi, Ive been a long time lurker of this forum and have now decided that its time to actually post something to help drive my solo project along.  A long time ago, my friends and I played champions rpg in between D+D campaigns.  Much fun was had and the desire to play the fights but not the in between bits has remained.  I've looked at some of the rules that are available but none seem to fit what I want so have decided to create my own which, should they be any good, will be free to anyone that wants them.  Just need to make sure that they are ok first!!
I have had a few herocliks for many years and always wanted to find a use for them, and seeing some of the repaints here on this site, tried my hand at it.
I will post pictures of terrain, figures and battle reports as they get done and feedback will be most welcome (just be kind please!!)

I've just tried to insert pictures and cant make it work with the insert image icon -any idea what i'm doing wrong?
until I can get this fixed I will just put a link to my blog spot to get the  ball rolling.  there is a detailed battle report on the site which will give some insight to the direction my rules are taking.

just seeing if I can do this!!

this one is Kingpin and was a strip and repaint, whereas the Hulk was a straight undercoat and paint

Capt America and Scarlet Witch were both stripped.  I was pleased with the Scarlet Witch as the red came out quite nice and it can be (for me) a troublesome colour.

thats all for now as it was just a bit of a test of inserting images.

I'm glad I finally took the plunge and decided to start posting.  Is there anyway i can post pics direct from my computer or do I have to place them on a blog or some such first?
I've just posted another update on my blog (link at the bottom) this time showing a piece of terrain I made from bit and pieces I had lying around.  I've also put a picture of it below.

four more repaints. first up is Rogue

everyone should have a webslinger in there somewhere!

and finally two big men, Blob and Hercules

I think Hercules was my first attempt at a repaint.  I know that herocliks were mass produced but they really did a good job of hiding nice figures under awful paint jobs!
Are people Ok with me just posting pics of my collection or will it get a bit  boring?  I have 100 or so repaints at the moment.

Thank you.  :). There is a lot of overlap between the two projects , which is always nice as you feel that you are making steady progress of both at the same time. Many of my survivors are street violence figures and I expect that they will make an appearance in a supers game as henchmen...henchmen women....er.. Henchpeople !

IS there anything better than these strip and repaints? Nope. What a great job!
