That figure has painted up fine, looks very good, looking forward to seeing more figures. I like the paint job on the Studio miniatures website but I prefer your version.

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback.
A dash of salt. A pinch of make believe. A dose of wishful thinking. A smidgen of truth. There you now have the recipe for a rumor.

Nothing too exciting this evening but they had to get done. I think they came out looking alright considering the fun that is painting street lights!

The references I found most street lamps like this were black. I wanted a little faded effect so I dry brushed codex grey then did my rust effect (dark flesh, vermin brown, blazing orange) for anyone keeping track at home.

I didn't want to base them on dirt and I needed something generic looking for the ground so I painted the bases Codex Grey and then washed heavily with Devlan Mud to give it a grimy, dirty, weathered effect.

Great stuff! I'm just about going back into an unfinished z-project, and I'll watch this for inspiration.  :)

Another small update. Here are the 4 pylons that the Imperial Guard Unit was tasked with setting up. They are from the Battle for Macragge set. They painted up pretty easy and didn't take much time at all. The main color used was Ironbreaker and the coils were done in Sycorax Bronze (where on earth do they get these names?) then washed in Devlan Mud. The eagle was done in Dwarf Bronze which was inked using my hoarded supply of Chestnut Ink and highlighted with Burnished Gold. Later on the bases were completed the same as the lamp posts using codex grey and washed with Devlan Mud.

You're extremely prolific and the quality does not seem to be affected by the quantity. Those street lamps are very nice, especially like the dirty/smokey glass.

Thanks! The glass is done in Codex Grey. I then washed the edges in badaab black leaving the middle area untouched. This formula happened purely by chance because I had no idea how to paint glass.

Here are the figure/ammunition trackers that I will be getting laminated so that a marker or grease pencil can be used to mark the card. I'm imagining the look I'll be getting when I take these to Staples to get done.

Centurion Quintos; And I already see I mispelled Centurion *@^&%#!

And this will be the card a player receives when they pick up a dropped bolter.

Got most of the work done on 3 additional Marine Zombies. Thank goodness for bits! Still need to do shoulder pads and a backpack on one.

Since this all comes down to painting zombies I thought I'd share a formula for painting the Mantic zombies. This is a fantastic FAST way to paint hordes of them. To date I have painted 150 Mantic zombies using this technique from Rebelwithacoz. There are 3 parts and I highly recommend checking it out. It's simple and effective.

Using the technique described here are some examples of the zombies I've painted. I have 50 or so more that I'll be doing on the Mantic Round bases for this scenario as well. The blood formula absolutely makes the figures pop.

Totally agree with you, that blood really makes the figures. Very Very nice.

Next I thought I'd share the buildings that will comprise my undead city.

More buildings..

Buildings courtesy of the now gone Baltimore Gamesday make and take.

Of course my friend did this awesome piece. Please note the thought and organization behind his creation.

The final resting place of an honored hero.

And this was my make and take. It's like a crazy person's mind. No thought. No direction. I just slapped stuff together.

My newest building project.

I made a few changes due to the fact I couldn't get it to fit on a 1' X 1' Masonite board. So it now has 3 sides! It's also a lot bigger than I had imagined. Wow.

The eagle head still needs to be mounted.

I found this at a local model train supply store! Caution!!!!! May cause seizures!!

I am going to cut this into the shape of the window for a stained glass effect.

And these will become a banister/railing for the catwalks.
